Coping with the trauma caused by a Narcissist

Dear Friends, Today  I wish to touch upon an extremely sensitive subject that is coping with the  trauma caused by a Narcissist. World in which we live is a beautiful place to grow and flourish. Often we tend to downplay the bad elements and experiences that people go through, mostly due to the fact that we are less aware of them. It's high time we take emotional trauma into same consideration as physical trauma. Following are the ways you can effectively deal with trauma caused by a narcissist:- 1) Feel emotions and let your inner suppressed feeling of Anger and Hate out of your system. 2) Share it with your confidante (who you have known for a long time) since you are quite vulnerable now. 3) Invest time in hobbies that make you feel at ease. 4) Take your time recuperating, as the trauma takes a toll on you as a person for you will feel drained emotionally and physically. 5) Watch self help videos on the topic and read books on the same to cope and understand the issue....

How to Fend off a Narcissist

Hello People, I wish to touch upon a very serious topic today. To understand it one must first understand a Narcissist. Traits of a Narcissist:- A Narcissist is a person who is a master manipulator and a complete transformist. He/She gets into your circle by faking their interests and hobbies,to get closer to you. Once you are in a relationship with the person it tries it's best to please you and make you feel comfortable. It over praises your efforts and "love bombs" you so as to get your attention and gain your trust. Habits of a Narcissist:- A Narcissist needs a strong host, someone that it can latch on to for its personal needs, may it be money, fame or just someone's unique personality. The only aim of a Narcissist is to use the host's resources and make him/her feel worthless. It has a sadistic approach towards life but is very well adept in concealing it. They will woo you at first and then discard you like nothing matters at all. Also "Ghosting" i...

How to deal with toxic behaviour

Hi Friends, It's been a long time since I posted. Today I wish to touch upon a very important topic that we have to deal in life which is dealing with toxic people. Traits of Toxic people:- Toxic people rely on the most personal info that you provide them with to twist and turn according to their needs. No matter how hard you try and explain the stuff that you are going through, they will always find a way to make it about themselves. They will not show it to you on your face but will spew venom when you are not around. In today's world of social media it's easy for them to manipulate your thoughts by ignoring your messages and taking you for granted by not responding to your calls. In other words "Ghosting" you. Ways to Deal with Toxic people:- Never apologize for wanting to talk to them. Confront them for their behaviour. Don't pay heed to their tactics even when they try and publicly defame you,the truth will reveal itself eventually. Forgive such people by...

Be free of your Ego, For Life is far beyond it.

Hello Friends, Its been long since I posted. Thank you for reading my previous blogs. Do send in your feedback for the same :). "Be free of your Ego." Ego can be a menace and is often wrongly interpreted. In the early stages of a child's life life it is cute to see it talk back to adults, throw away/ break things and get away with it. Its important to inculcate values at this stage itself.  Our childhood  is the stepping stone to form an Ego. Ego comes with Fake Pride and Superiority complex,it is a vital sign of being insecure, which weighs heavily on you in the long run. For example :- A rich boy/girl being called out by his relatively poor friend by an embarrassing nickname in front of "Respected" Elders invokes his Ego and makes him/her feel insecure as to what will people think. Our mind is capable of imagining the greatest of thoughts and ideas, ego is just a by product. Being Egoistic flaws your judgement of right and wrong, it is...

The 3 L's to overcome failure

Hello people,  Its been a long time since the last post. There have been a lot of ups and downs in life for me, but every time I felt low there were people around me to never let that feeling linger for long. Its quite easy for people to be depressed over failure ,parents avoid discussing the topic altogether or dismiss it as a trait of millennials who "think" too much. This in turn leads to more failures in life. We start doubting our worth in this rat race. Failure is not the end of anything, you may fail once or twice in row doesn't mean you aren't capable enough. The main thing is that we lack experience, "good" or "bad" both counts in the long run. Just believe in yourself, be positive and do not accept defeat without trying. There are 3 L's that are necessary to overcome failure:- 1) Laugh - Learn to laugh at your own mistakes, never take them too seriously. 2) Live- Its important you "live" your failure to und...

Overcoming Fear and Pressure of Failure

Hello People, First of all, I would like to thank everyone who took out some of their valuable time to read my previous blog :). Today I wish to discuss an important topic with you all, please feel free to comment your views on the same. Life as we know today is quite fast paced, But are we getting anywhere with it? The answer to this question is mostly "No". We all are in a constant fear of not achieving our goals in the stipulated time, for which we are ready to go crazy competing with our peers. This fear leads to many mental illnesses like anxiety and depression to name a few. Life is just not about that stuff, get out of your comfort zones of a fat paycheck and an "ideal" life set for you by others. Our fears may be rational at times, as we do need money and people around us to get work done. But just savings and investments take you nowhere in life. May I borrow the term "Cheap thrills" from the song of the same name by musician...

Live Your Life for you

Hello People,  This is my first blog. The most "unanswered" question in our minds is :- What is my life goal? I say "unanswered" because most of us come across it and no one really addresses it. Though not clear about our goals in childhood, we tend to latch on to our dreams of being a Pilot, Doctor, Scientist, Firefighter, Sportsman etc. But as adults we tend to lose path and clarity on our goals and run towards money and more money. A very few  follow their dreams. This is by far the most important question that should arise in our minds. Stop! and ponder for once, Are you Happy with what you are doing in life? If yes, then you are lucky. If no, you haven't lost anything, the right time to do is now. Its not a taboo to be yourself. If not you then who? :) Build your dreams, fly high, you were never meant to be bound by " a way of life" that some person or an organisation decides for you. Live your Life doing what yo...
